System Overview
01
Concrete Prep & Patching
We begin by shot blasting the concrete to a CSP 3/4 surface profile, ensuring optimal conditions for maximum epoxy mechanical bonding. This meticulous surface preparation is crucial for the long-term durability of the outdoor system.
03
Polyurea
Applied after the moisture barrier, the polyurea base coat is a highly durable and flexible layer that provides excellent adhesion to the substrate. Its fast-curing properties allow for quick application, and it serves as a strong foundation for the broadcast layer.
05
High-Performance Polyaspartic Build Coat
The first polyaspartic top coat seals in the broadcast layer, providing a glossy, UV-resistant finish. It protects the floor from staining, wear, and chemical exposure, ensuring the longevity of the system.
02
Moisture Vapor Barrier
Next, a layer of moisture vapor barrier then applied to the prepped concrete. This barrier is crucial as it prevents moisture from seeping through the concrete substrate and affecting the flooring system. It helps in reducing the risk of delamination and other moisture-related issues.
04
Broadcast - Flake, Rubber Granules, or Aggregate Sand
This layer involves broadcasting a mix of sand aggregate and decorative elements like flakes or rubber granules onto the wet polyurea base coat. The sand aggregate enhances the mechanical bond between layers and provides slip resistance, while the flakes or rubber granules add aesthetic appeal and additional traction. This combination not only improves the durability and texture of the surface but also gives the floor a unique, customizable appearance.
06
High-Performance Polyaspartic Top Coat
Finally, a second layer of polyaspartic is applied to seal the system. This topcoat ensures maximum protection and longevity, creating a seamless, high-gloss finish that is both attractive and easy to maintain.

SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS
WATERPROOF
The moisture vapor barrier used in this system greatly reduce the transmission of moisture from the substrate into the layers above. By controlling moisture vapor, it helps prevent problems such as blistering, delamination, and mold growth.

QUICK TURNAROUN/RETURN TO SERVICE
Polyaspartic coatings have rapid curing times compared to traditional epoxy, allowing for quicker installation and reduced downtime. Floors can often be returned to service within 24 hours.

SLIP RESISTANT
By broadcasting aggregate sand or other aggregates into the polyurea layer, the surface gains a textured finish that provides slip resistance. This is especially important in areas prone to becoming wet or in high-traffic environments where safety is a priority.

IMPACT RESISTANCE
Our patio systems become extremely impact and abrasion resistant when a material, such as decorative acrylic flakes, aggregate sand, rubber granules, or decorative quartz, are broadcasted into the coatings. This is particularly beneficial in high-traffic areas where the substrate is subject to extra impact and repeated wear.
