Traffic Systems
Traffic systems are advanced solutions that are designed to deliver maximum durability, flexibility, and protection for high-traffic areas. By combining a moisture-resistant base, flexible membranes, and slip-resistant materials with high-performance top coats, it creates a seamless, long-lasting surface. The system effectively prevents moisture penetration, absorbs structural movement, and resists heavy wear, all while offering superior UV stability and a glossy, low-maintenance finish. It’s ideal for environments where both heavy-duty performance and aesthetics are crucial.

System Overview
01
Concrete Prep & Patching
We begin by shot blasting the concrete to a CSP 3/4 surface profile, ensuring optimal conditions for maximum epoxy mechanical bonding. This meticulous surface preparation is crucial for the long-term durability of the traffic system.
03
Elastomeric Membrane
Next, a layer of elastomeric membrane is applied. This layer adds flexibility and resilience to the system, allowing it to absorb structural movement and prevent cracks from forming in the surface. Its rubber-like properties provide a durable, waterproof barrier that enhances the system’s ability to withstand heavy traffic and extreme conditions, ensuring long-lasting protection.
05
First layer of Polyaspartic (or elastomeric)
Once the flakes or granules are set, the first layer of polyaspartic coating is applied. Polyaspartic is a type of polyurea that cures quickly and provides a clear, glossy finish. It offers UV stability, chemical resistance, and high durability.
02
Moisture Vapor Barrier
Next, a layer of moisture vapor barrier then applied to the prepped concrete. This barrier is crucial as it prevents moisture from seeping through the concrete substrate and affecting the flooring system. It helps in reducing the risk of delamination and other moisture-related issues.
04
Broadcast - Flake, Rubber Granules, or Aggregate Sand
While the elastomeric membrane is still wet, a layer of decorative flakes, rubber granules, or aggregate sand is broadcasted into it. These materials not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the floor but also add texture and additional strength to the surface.
06
Top Coat of Polyaspartic (or elastomeric)
Finally, a second layer of polyaspartic is applied to seal the system. This topcoat ensures maximum protection and longevity, creating a seamless, high-gloss finish that is both attractive and easy to maintain.

SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS
FLEXIBLE YET STRONG:
The traffic system is more flexible than traditional flooring systems. This flexibility allows the coating to expand and contract with the substrate movement. Because of this, the likelihood of delamination or cracking due to temperature fluctuations or substrate movement is greatly reduced.

WATERPROOF
This traffic system is designed to be fully waterproof, ensuring that moisture cannot penetrate the surface and reach the underlying substrate. The combination of the moisture vapor barrier and the elastomeric membrane creates a robust shield against water infiltration, effectively preventing damage from corrosion and deterioration. This waterproof feature not only extends the lifespan of the system but also enhances safety by reducing the risk of slips and falls in wet conditions.
SLIP RESISTANT
By broadcasting aggregate sand or other aggregates into the wet elastomeric membrane layer, the surface gains a textured finish that provides slip resistance. This is especially important in areas prone to becoming wet or in high-traffic environments where safety is a priority.

IMPACT RESISTANCE
The elasticity of the system gives the coating a solid defense against impacts and abrasions. Our traffic systems become extremely impact and abrasion resistant when a material, such as decorative acrylic flakes, aggregate sand, rubber granules, or decorative quartz, are broadcasted into the coatings. This is particularly beneficial in high-traffic areas where the substrate is subject to extra impact and repeated wear.
