Why we use epoxy and urethane cement systems in healthcare environments
SUPERIOR HYGIENE & INFECTION CONTROL
In healthcare facilities, maintaining sterile environments is paramount to prevent the spread of infections. Epoxy and urethane cement floors offer seamless and impervious surfaces that do not harbor bacteria, viruses, or fungi, significantly reducing contamination risks. Their ease of cleaning and resistance to harsh disinfectants make them ideal for areas requiring stringent hygiene standards, contributing to enhanced infection control and patient safety.
SAFETY
With safety being a top priority, our healthcare flooring solutions can be formulated to provide slip resistance. This additive enhances the safety of your patients and staff, especially in areas prone to spills or wet conditions.
LOW MAINTENANCE
Once installed, our floors require minimal maintenance. Routine cleaning with mild detergents is typically all that is needed to keep them looking brand new!
ENHANCED DURABILITY & RESILIANCE
Healthcare facilities experience constant foot traffic, the movement of heavy equipment, and frequent spills. Epoxy and urethane cement flooring systems are engineered to withstand these challenges, offering high resistance to wear, impact, and chemical spills. This durability ensures that the flooring remains in excellent condition, supporting the facility's operational efficiency and longevity.
AESTHETIC APPEAL
Our healthcare flooring solutions come in a wide variety of colors and finishes allowing healthcare facilities to create a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

At the Vincere Cancer Center, durability and long-term performance were critical requirements for the new flooring system. After assessing the current concrete condition and understanding their specific requirements, we recommended our CT-3EEU floor system as the ideal solution.
The installation process began with industrial diamond grinding the concrete to a CSP 3 using our Terrco industrial grinders, ensuring the surface was properly prepped. We then addressed all remaining divots and cracks in the concrete by patching them and allowing the patches to cure fully.
Two layers of 100% solids epoxy were then applied, creating a seamless, high-build surface designed for strength, adhesion, and protection of the concrete substrate.
To complete the system, a urethane topcoat was applied to enhance abrasion resistance, chemical durability, and ease of maintenance. The finished floor provides a smooth, resilient surface well-suited for a healthcare environment, delivering long-lasting performance with a clean, professional appearance that supports daily operations.
