The Challenge
This project took place in an active 20+ year old data center at Charles Schwab, requiring all work to be completed overnight to avoid disrupting operations. Due to the sensitive environment, wet grinding methods were used during surface preparation to minimize airborne dust and maintain a cleaner installation process. Safety striping was also required throughout the facility to improve visibility and organization within the operational space.
The Solution
We installed our CT-3EEUsc floor system including:
- Industrial diamond grinding to a csp 3
- 100% solids epoxy base and build coat
- 100% solids epoxy build coat
-Top coat of high-performance urethane with SapphireClad™
additive
and our Striping CT-1E system including:
- Clean floor to ensure it's free from dirt and debris
-Apply a strip of 100% Solids Epoxy
The Result
Our CT-3EEUsc flooring system delivered a seamless, durable surface engineered for demanding data center environments. The completed floor provides enhanced wear resistance, easy maintenance, and clear safety striping for improved traffic flow and visibility, all while successfully modernizing the aging facility with minimal disruption to daily operations.
