wheaton custom epoxy flooringCustom epoxy flooring is available in a vast array of colors, styles, chip options and texture variations. One of the difficulties as an industry professional, is: “how do we help our customers picture what this will look like on their floor?” It is difficult to conceptualize what the installed epoxy will look like when you aren’t familiar with the product. Sometimes customers order something they don’t understand and may say “oh, that isn’t what I expected” once they see the finished install.

Transparency in Epoxy Flooring Processes

One of our goals is to help our customers understand the product and what they are getting in an epoxy floor before they order. This transparency in the product and process helps both of us. We want you to be happy with our service, so the best way to ensure that is to help you understand the process, what is involved and help you choose the right materials for your specific room and application.

Even though it can be difficult to picture something in the abstract without seeing the finished product first, there are several things you can do that will help:

  1. Go take a look at our Floor Coating Systems page. This page has helpful descriptions of the different systems we offer. Some are categorized as “Commercial Coating Systems” and others are “Residential Coating Systems.” The main difference is the systems meant for commercial use are generally more rugged and used for high traffic areas or chemical containment. You could still use these for your home, but they are overkill.
  2. Check out our Epoxy Color Charts and Chip Options page This page shows what the different epoxy colors and chips are. We recently added our Granite Full Chip Systems color chart which shows a very accurate representation of the color chips you can choose for your flooring. These are the actual color chips we use, and you can see what they look like at life-size by clicking each one.
  3. Head on over to the Residential Epoxy Gallery page and pick which system you are interested in seeing photos for. These photos of finished systems will help you picture what the installed flooring will look like.
  4. Once you have reviewed these pages and feel confident you know which epoxy coating system you are interested in, you can use our online order form (red button at top of site) to save an extra $40 when you are ordering. Still have questions, or need guidance on what system you should use for your specific needs? Feel free to email or call us and we can help you find the solution for your application.
